Mickleton MMDo you like books or magazines? Do you need to find Christmas presents for children, F/friends, and relatives? Why not consider supporting Friends School and/or the Quarter?
Friends General Conference (FGC) will have a table of books for sale at Quarterly Meeting on Sunday, December 12, at Woodbury Monthly Meeting. The books will consist of new offerings from FGC, children’s books, and some old favorites. FGC credits Salem Quarter’s consignment with a percentage of the income from these sales. The Salem Quarter Coordinator may then order material from FGC using the funds in the consignment account. This minimizes or eliminates the need for Salem Quarter funds for FGC material.
Magazine order forms from Mullica Hill Friends School will also be available for Friends to order magazines or renew subscriptions. (The forms may be taken home to fill in.) There are about 600 magazines to choose from. The cost of most of the magazines is less than normal subscription prices, and the Friends School PTO earns 40% of subscription value. The money the PTO earns is used to purchase equipment and material for the school.
Books and magazine order forms will be available at Quarterly Meeting between 2:30 and 6:00 PM. While payment by check is preferred, cash is acceptable. (Sorry, no credit cards!)
