This is just a sampling of what is going on here at Friends Home, above and beyond our regular daily activities:
- February 24 Residents will be transported to Woodstown High School for their production of Fiddler on the Roof.
- March 3 The Annual Pancake Olympics: Residential and Healthcare compete for this year's bragging rights. Who will be able to complete the most flips in one minute? If you thought pancakes were not an athletic event, you have never been to our annual Pancake Olympics!
- March 17 St. Patrick's Day party and entertainment.
- Easter Events include the dyeing of eggs, and an egg hunt.
April also has National Volunteer Week. A special luncheon is held to honor all the volunteers. If you would like to become a volunteer, help is needed in the following areas:
- Tuesday morning crafts group
- Coffee Hour hostesses/substitutes
- Gift shop
To get involved in any of these areas, please call 769-1500 and ask for Ann in activities
May is National Older Americans Month. Starting the 14th, the beginning of National Nursing Home Week, we will be having a week-long themed celebration involving both residents and staff. The staff always does a spectacular job, coming up with very creative, stimulating ideas that often transport us to another time or place. It is a week that many look forward to, and don't soon forget.
