2000 These are only some of the things that will happen in Salem Quarter and Philadelphia Yearly Meeting over the coming few months. The dates and details for others aren't set yet. Look for the Quarterly Meeting Calendar, sent every month to your Meeting's Steering Committee members, for listings of other events.
Fri, 1 December- Mullica Hill tree lighting. Mullica Hill’s traditional tree lighting ceremony at the old Town Hall at 7:30 PM features a performance by the Friends School’s Middle School Chorus.
Fri, 1 December- Ten Thousand Villages at Woodstown. As part of its regular annual participation in the Woodswtown Candlelight Tour, Woodstown MM will again feature the Ten Thousand Villages craft sale on Friday evening.
Sun, 3 December- Mickleton toy gun exchange. Mickleton MM will once again hold its toy gun exchange from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Young people are encouraged to turn in their toy guns in exchange for another toy. There will also be carolling, and refreshments will be served.
Fri, 8 December- Woodbury Candlelight Christmas Tour. Woodbury MM participates in the city’s Candlelight Christmas Tour. The meetinghouse will be open from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.
Fri, 8 December- Salem Quarter Worship & Ministry. The Worship & Ministry Committee will gather at the home of Bob and Gloria Horvay, Mullica Hill, at 7:30 PM. All members of monthly meeting Worship & Ministry or Ministry & Oversight Committees are welcome. For information, contact the Salem Quarter Coordinator at (856)769-0066.
Sun, 10 December- Salem Quarterly Meeting. Salem Quarter will gather at Salem MM at 9:00 AM for program on the work of Overseers’ committees, music from Friends School (10:30 AM), worship (11 AM), brown-bag lunch (noon), and afternoon meeting for business (1 PM). Tue-Wed, 12-13 December- Musical gatherings at Friends School. Students celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukah in song. Both musical evenings begin at 7:00 PM in the Noel-Baker Building, with lower school students performing on Tuesday and the Middle School Chorus on Wednesday evening.
Fri, 22 December- Woodbury Holiday Party. Woodbury MM presents its annual First-day School Christmas-Hanukah party. Entertainment will be provided by the guests. For information, call the Salem Quarter Coordinator at (856)769-0066.
Sat, 27 Jan- Friends School recital. Students of Friends School’s Fine and Performing Arts program will present their winter recital in the Noel-Baker Building. Beginning students will perform at 10:00 AM, more experienced students at 1:00 PM. Please call the school for details at (856)478-2908.
