Sun, 25 February- Amnesty International. Woodstown MM hosts the Salem County chapter of Amnesty International the last Sunday of each month at the home of Karen and Bob Huber. For directions, contact the Hubers at rwhuber@gateway.net.
Sun, 4 March- Salem MM anniversary celebration. Salem Monthly Meeting celebrates its 325th anniversary starting with 9:30 am First-day School, followed by Margaret Hope Bacon speaking out of the silence at 10:30. A potluck luncheon will be held, and Margaret Hope Bacon and her family will lead a tour of the Greenwich area.
Fri, 9 March- Salem Quarter Worship & Ministry. The Worship & Ministry Committee will meet at the home of Bob and Gloria Horvay, Mullica Hill, at 7:30 PM. All members of monthly meeting Worship & Ministry or Ministry & Oversight Committees are welcome. For information, contact the Salem Quarter Coordinator at (856)769-0066.
Sun, 11 March- Salem Quarterly Meeting. Salem Quarter will gather at Woodstown MM at 8:45 AM for refreshments courtesy of Salem MM, then attend a presentation by Judy Owens speaks on Strengthening and Deepening Your Monthly Meeting as a Faith Community, starting at 9:15. Worship will begin at 10:30 AM, followed by lunch at noon (soup and beverage provided by Woodstown MM), during which Judy Owens will be available to discuss this new PYM project. Fri, 16 March- Seaville drumming circle. Seaville MM holds a dessert sharing and drumming circle in Friendship Hall the third Friday of every month, starting at 7:00 pm. Bring your own drum, or spare percussion instruments are available to borrow. For further information, call the meeting at (609)566-4507.
Sat, 24 March- PYM special session. Philadelphia Yearly Meeting will meet in special session at the Arch Street Meeting House. Among the highlights will be consideration of what Yearly Meeting is called to, stemming from the queries used at last years Annual Sessions. Watch for details in a future PYM mailing
Sun, 25 March- Amnesty International. Woodstown MM hosts the Salem County chapter of Amnesty International. See the 25 February entry for details.
Fri-Sun, 6-8 April- Religious education weekend. Friends General Conference and Pendle Hill co-sponsor a weekend seminar, Preparing the Way: Writing, Developing, and Using Quaker Curricula. Sat, 21 April- Religious education for special-needs children. Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Religious Ed sponsors this one-day workshop at Woodstown MM on working with special-needs children in First-day School. Sat, 1 May- Salem MM Pot Pie Dinner. Salem MM will hold its annual Pot Pie Dinner in the meetinghouse annex. Watch the Quarter Calendar for details of time and cost.
Tri-Quarterly Gathering is coming!- This years Tri-Quarterly Gathering, 2830 September, will explore the theme Refilling Our Cup. Once again it will be held in the rustic setting of Camp Ockanickon, Medford Lakes, N.J. Watch for a flier some time in the next month, and full workshop/registration information in early summer.
