The old clock hangs on the Meeting House wall,
How long it has been there, no one can recall.
Its a comforting sound it hear its tick and its tock,
It gives one the impressing its as solid as a rock.
It wouldnt ask for much if it could speak,
All it needs to exist is to be wound once a week.
Think of the stories the old clock could relay,
As it oversees Quaker Meetings on every First-day.
Im sure it has witnessed over the years,
Many happy events and some that brought tears.
Lets hope the old clock continues to stay fit,
Meetings wouldnt seem the same if we ever lost it.RETURN TO TABLE OF CONTENTS
