2002 These are only some of the things that will happen in Salem Quarter and Philadelphia Yearly Meeting over the coming few months. The dates and details for others aren't set yet. Look for the Quarterly Meeting Calendar, sent every month to your Meeting's Steering Committee members, for listings of other events.
Fri, 8 March- Salem Quarter Worship & Ministry. The Worship & Ministry Committee will meet at the home of Bob and Gloria Horvay, Mullica Hill, at 7:30 PM. For information, contact the Salem Quarter Coordinator at (856)769-0066.
Sun, 10 March- Salem Quarterly Meeting. Woodstown MM.
9:00 am — Gather for coffee and doughnuts
9:30 am — Program: Linda Jeffrey and Mary Mills, Woodstown MM, present the Woodstown Peace Center
10:30 am — Worship
11:30 am — Lunch: soup, bread, and dessert provided by Woodstown MM
1:00 pm— Business meeting
Thu-Sun, 21-24 March- PYM Annual Sessions. The annual sessions of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting will be held this year at the Arch Street Meeting House, 4th and Arch Streets, Philadelphia. Programs listing times and locations of events will be available at your monthly meeting, or ask the Coordinator to have one sent to you. No registration is necessary for adults, but children taking part in the program for young people must be preregistered.
Fri, 26 April- Friends School Auction. Call the school, (856)478-2908, for full information about the Annual Spring Gala Dinner and Auction, a highlight of the school year.
Fri-Sun, 17-19 May- Mullica Hill Retreat. PYM’s Joan Broadfield facilitates this year’s annual retreat at the Burlington Meeting House. Complete information and registration from Lois Dinshah, (856)694-3025.
Fri, 17 May- Friends School Golf Outing. You don’t need to be a pro, or even to have ever played golf, to enjoy this annual event sponsored by the Friends School Parents Assocation. Full information may be obtained from the school at (856)478-2908.
Sun, 9 June- Salem Quarterly Meeting. This year’s summer Quarterly Meeting will be held at Seaville MM, and features Sam Chamberlain and Melissa Whaley on the effects of the War on Drugs. Schedule and full information will appear in the Summer issue of Salem Quarter News.
Fri-Sun, 23-25 August- Salem Quarter Retreat. This year’s Salem Quarter Retreat at the Burlington Meeting House will be facilitated by Michael Wajda, Salem Quarter’s first Coordinator, and Alison Levie. Complete details and registration form will appear in the Summer issue of Salem Quarter News.
