SPRING
2002
From Our Friends HomeMary Ellen Brooks
Director of Institutional AdvancementFriends Home Annual Gift Campaign for 2001
The Building Committee, with the support of the entire Board of Managers, is working diligently to obtain the necessary variances and permits to begin actively marketing our future independent living cottages and apartments. We hope to have final approvals from the Borough of Woodstown on Wednesday, February 6th, and from Pilesgrove Township on Wednesday, February 20th. These dates are the regularly scheduled Planning Board meetings. It would be very helpful to our efforts if residents and interested parties would come to the meetings and speak in support of our plans to bring independent living, assisted living and special care facilities to our service communities. Please try to join us at one or both meetings. And, please, everyone, keep our efforts and our representatives in your prayers.
On behalf of Friends Home's Board of Managers, our residents and staff, thank you to everyone who made a gift to Friends Home's 2001 Annual Gift Campaign. Your generosity and support were nothing short of inspiring to all of us. Your participation gives weight to our outreach efforts to strengthen our ties with the community. Again, we are fortunate to be blessed with caring, generous friends like you.
The generosity of our friends and supporters also serves to affirm our mission and encourage our staff to work with us in providing a high level of quality care and service for our residents. All gifts help to offset operational expenses in some fashion and help us keep our residents' fees at affordable levels.
Friends Home at Woodstown welcomes your gifts to support our efforts to keep residents' costs down and to prepare for the future. It is not too soon to make a gift to the 2002 Annual Gift Campaign. Today, more than ever, nonprofit organizations count on the financial generosity of their friends and supporters. Friends Home is no exception. If you were unable to make a gift in December and still have the Annual Gift Appeal card and envelope you received, please feel free to use it now. If you do not have the card and envelope but would like to make a gift at this time, please call Friends Home (856-769-1500) and we will be pleased to send you another. Remember, all gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
