Friends Home logoFriends Home Annual Gift Campaign for 2001

The Building Committee, with the support of the entire Board of Managers, continues to work diligently with the Borough of Woodstown and Pilesgrove Township Planning Boards to obtain final approval for our expansion and renovations. We obtained preliminary approval from the Borough of Woodstown on the variances required to move forward, and we are anticipating final site plan approval with attending conditions in June. We are optimistic that we will receive final approval from Pilesgrove Township in May or June. And, please, everyone, continue to keep our efforts and our representatives in your prayers.

Jane Burslem, our new Director of Marketing, is eager to begin actively marketing our future independent living cottages and apartments. Once we have final approvals from the Borough of Woodstown and Pilesgrove Township, our marketing trailer will be installed and Jane will be staffing the trailer. Once Jane is happily ensconced in her new “office,” take a minute to stop in and say hello. You may call Friends Home at 856-769-1500 in mid-June for an update.

Friends Home Annual Gift Campaign for 2002

Once again—on behalf of Friends Home’s Board of Managers, our residents and staff—thank you to everyone who made a gift to Friends Home's 2001 Annual Gift Campaign. Your generosity and support affirms our mission and encourages us to embrace the challenges we face as we struggle to carry on the vision of our founders.

By the time you read this, you will have received your copy of Rays of Light, our “new” newsletter. If you did not receive this issue, it means you are not on our mailing list. Please take a minute and call Friends Home at 856-769-1500 to give us your name and address. We are currently accepting gifts for our 2002 Annual Gift Campaign. We included an Annual Gift return envelope for those of you who would like to send in your gift before you receive a formal letter asking you to make a gift.

Annual Gift Campaign letters will be going out in June. Your participation inspires us and gives weight to our outreach efforts to strengthen our ties with the community. Most of all, your gifts help to offset operational expenses in some fashion, and they help us keep our residents’ fees at affordable levels. Remember, all gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Save the Date

The Special Events Committee is excited to announce that we will host our First Annual Golf Outing on Friday, October 11th, at Town and Country Gold Links, with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. All proceeds benefit the Friends Home Building Fund! We have a wide range of sponsorship and golfing opportunities, each with its own special benefits. If you are in a position to make a sponsorship gift, please call Mary Ellen Brooks at 856-823-0229. I will be happy to discuss sponsorship opportunities and to send you a Corporate and Philanthropic Sponsors brochure. Watch your mail for invitations!

Information filed with the Attorney General concerning this charitable solicitation may be obtained from the Attorney General of New Jersey by calling 973-504-6215. Registration does not imply endorsement.
