ho among us doesnt love autumn? What memories this season stirs! That snap in the air must call them forth, and we do not resist.
After all these years, we still find ourselves bending down to pick up that crimson leaf, knowing full well that its glory will fade at our bedside by morning.
Theres a sadness to autumn, lets not deny it. Its a goodbye to another summer and a reminder that the days are short ahead. Yet theres also the joy of feeling alive when that familiar chill brushes our face, still alive ... not to count our seasons, but to make our seasons count.
And that is what we invite you to do this October ... to make this season count, to spend a special weekend in the woods where autumn reigns supreme.
We invite you to the Tri-Quarter Gathering, October 1820, at Camp Ockanickon in Medford, N.J., for a weekend discussion and contemplation, play and prayer, silence and song.
Amidst all that is going on in our livesand all thats amiss in the worldwe offer the theme Reason for Hope. The workshops will remind us of the resiliency of ourand our planetsspirit that makes possible the healing of wounds, and may yet bring us the peace within ourselvesand with each otherfor which we yearn.
Beyond all the workshops, there will be time to discover your personal sanctuary and activities planned of which meaningful memories are made.
