On behalf of the Board of Managers and staff, thank you for your enthusiastic response to the Spring issue of Rays of Light, our “new” newsletter. If you did not receive this issue, it means you are not on our mailing list. Please take a minute and call Friends Home at 856-769-1500 to give us your name and address.

Annual Gift Campaign letters went out in June and again, we are most grateful for your response. It bears repeating: your generosity and support affirms our mission and encourages us to embrace the challenges we face as we struggle to carry on the vision of our founders. Your participation inspires us and gives weight to our outreach efforts to strengthen our ties with the community. Most of all, your gifts help to offset operational expenses in some fashion, and they help us keep our residents’ fees at affordable levels. Remember, all gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

First Annual Golf Outing

Tiger Woods and Karrie Webb won’t be joining us but you can! Be part of Friends Home at Woodstown First Annual Golf Outing Friday, October 11, 2002. The distinctive course layout of Town & Country Golf Links on Route 40 in Woodstown will be challenging and fun. Play 18 holes and experience scenic splendor and challenging obstacles even Tiger and Karrie would relish.

Come join us for an afternoon of golf and camaraderie in support of a great cause. Individuals or groups are encouraged to take part. This event, benefiting Friends Home Building Fund, offers businesses the opportunity to reward employees or entertain and cultivate clients. Our Friday at one o’clock tee off time allows you to wind down your hectic week and network with friends and associates. An awards dinner will follow the competition. Non-golfers are welcome to join us for the awards dinner celebration.

We have a wide range of sponsorship and golfing opportunities. Golfers’ sponsorship invitations were included with the Annual Gift Appeal letter. If you are in a position to make a sponsorship gift, please call Mary Ellen Brooks at 856-823-0229 for a Corporate and Philanthropic Sponsors’ brochure.
