I received a notice the other day,
That Emma Engle had passed away.
She was a staunch and loyal Friend,
And remained that way right up to the end.We will all miss her cheery greeting,
And her many messages she delivered in Meeting.
She was one of the last to use the words “thee” and “thy”;
I suppose the old Quaker way of speaking will disappear by and by.I guess we all wonder, why did Emma have to die?
I think I know the answer, I think this is the reason why.
God needed a librarian for His big library in the sky.
He needed someone like Emma, on someone he could rely.God Bless You, Emma!
