These are only some of the things that will happen in Salem Quarter and Philadelphia Yearly Meeting over the coming few months. The dates and details for others aren't set yet. Look for the Quarterly Meeting Calendar, sent every month to your Meeting's Steering Committee members, for listings of other events.

Please send announcements of your meetings’ activities to the Coordinator, PO Box 55, Woodstown, N.J. 08098; (856)769-0066; salemqtr@verizon.net. Include a description of the event, date and time, cost if any, and contact information for inquiries. The Quarter Calendar appears in the newsletter four times a year (ask your Steering Committee members for the deadline date), and is distributed by e-mail as a separate sheet in between times.

Fri, 20 May
Friends School Golf Outing. The Outing will take place at Town & Country in Woods town, with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm, closing with a barbecue. More information from the coordinator, (856)769-0066, salemqtr@verizon.net.

Sat, 21 May
Woodstown Strawberry Festival. Woodstown MM’s annual Strawberry Festival will have seatings at 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 pm. Tickets for adults are $14, children $6. More information from the coordinator, (856)769-0066, salemqtr@verizon.net.

Sat, 4 June
PYM called session on climate change. There will be a called session of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, “Climate Change: What Are We Called To Do?” at Friends Center, 15th & Cherry Streets, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Program includes speakers and time to discern in worship. Details are on the PYM Website, or call Joan Broadfield at (800)220-0796, ext. 7240, JoanB@pym.org.

Fri, 10 June
Salem Quarter Worship & Ministry. The Salem Quarter Worship & Ministry Committee will gather at Mickleton MM, at the corner of Kings Highway and Democrat Road in Mickleton. All with a concern for worship in their meetings are welcome. For further information, call Mario Cavallini, clerk, (856)853-6349, marioc1@mindspring.com.

Sat, 11 June
Quakerism 101 at Seaville. George A. Crispin of Woodbury MM will lead three sessions of Quakerism 101 at Seaville MM on Saturday evenings, 11 and 25 June and 16 July. There will be a potluck dinner at 5:00 pm each of these evenings, followed by the class. There is no cost, but the meeting asks Friends to register by calling Diane Metz, clerk, at (609)465-5567.

Salem Quarterly Meeting. Salem Quarterly Meeting sessions will be held at Mullica Hill MM, starting at 9:30 am—see the full schedule. The program will feature Roshan Dinshah speaking about the Southern State prison ministry. Questions, call the coordinator, (856)769-0066, salemqtr@verizon.net.

Sun, 26 June
Greenwich picnic. Greenwich MM holds its annual picnic in conjunction with its move to the Lower Meeting House for the summer. All are welcome to 11:30 am worship followed by the picnic. Please bring a covered dish to share, a beverage, plates, and utensils; the meeting will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, and condiments.
