SUMMER 2005Salem Quarterly Meeting minutes that the Quarter treasurer has the discretion to assign moneys contributed by any monthly meeting as needed to meet the needs of the Quarter and its programs, in a timely and efficient manner. As means of clarification, once a monthly meeting has made a payment to Salem Quarterly Meeting Treasurer, the funds are Salem Quarterly Meeting's funds and are no longer under the control/direction of the Monthly Meeting.
The Quarter Treasurer, therefore, does not need to make any allocation of a Monthly Meeting's payments, i.e., all of the funds may be used as the Quarter’s payment toward the Quarter's covenant to Yearly Meeting, or the Quarter treasurer may apply the payments to all of the Quarter's programs, or in any percentage allocation approved by Quarterly Meeting. Further, the Quarter’s Coordinator Program is just one of many programs of the Quarter and, therefore, there is no distinction between the Coordinator Program and the Quarter’s other programs in any monthly meeting's payments to Salem Quarterly Meeting.
