ooks are great as Christmas presents, as well as just enjoyable reading. Have you or your Meeting ever thought of donating Quaker books to your local public or school library, as outreach? Or maybe your meeting might consider buying each of its children a book for Christmas or New Year's. Possibly you or your Meeting might buy some books for your meeting's library, Friends School Mullica Hill, Friends Village at Woodstown, etc. Or maybe just give a book to a F(f)riend for the joy of it!
Once again, I'm bringing a QuakerBooks of Friends General Conference consignment to Salem Quarterly Meeting. QuakerBooks of FGC will provide lots of books for children (including Newbery, Caldecott and other award winners) and adults. In addition to a lot of new stuff, I'll have old favorites. If, however, there are particular books you'd like, please e-mail me at <travel.quake @verizon.net> and let me know about them. While check or credit card is preferred, I'll also accept cash.
Salem Quarterly Meeting gets credit for a percentage of the cost of what I sell. The money that SQM makes from the book sales may be used by the coordinator to purchase FGC material for SQM's use. By purchasing the books at quarterly meeting, you not only help SQM, but you also save on shipping costs and sales tax.
