FALL 2006Lester Heritage
Mickleton MM
It's Spring again.
The crocuses are in bloom again.
The daffodils of purest gold,
Their blossoms are beginning to unfold.
The hyacinths of pink and blue
Are again starting to come into view.
Soon the lilacs will put on their show
With their shades of purple we all know.
Violets of white and blue will soon be found,
Springing up through the fertile ground;
And the dandelions we must not forget,
We have not them mentioned yet.
They open their yellow blossoms each dawn,
And remind us of little suns all through our lawn.
The loss of Springtime we don't have to fear,
For God in his wisdom will repeat it each year.This poem first appeared in the online poetry journal Autumn Leaves, Volume 10, No. 2 (March 2006), and is copyright © 2006 Lester Heritage
