SUMMER 2007Dennis Deems
Woodbury MMLove is acceptance.
Love as acceptance
needs nothing added, nothing resulting.
Neither noble nor manipulative behavior
can cause love to love.
Love has a life of its own
that is constant, insulated from any
outside persuasion.
Love is an emotion.
Love becomes emotional.
As an emotion, love focuses on a beloved,
focuses on the other at expense to self.
Love's reason to exist
is the beloved.
Love makes that choice freely.
With that choice love lives again,
though love just died with the choice.
Love is a mystery which forever intrigues,
yet never deceives.
Love is a life of its own,
far superior to the only other life,
which is competition, which is fear based.
Love, which never fails, is always accompanied by
peace and joy and more.
Because love is the total provision
in any relationship, any circumstance,
there is no need to be filled
with any other than love.
Love is a decision, an attitude, a way of living daily.
The individual can defy all else that has been taught
and decide that self truly can love
because love lives inside self.
That will keep the individual in harmony
with love and out of tune with the world.
