Gratitude

You are standing on the shoulders of all those

who have helped you up the mountain path of life.

 

Be grateful.

 

Today, in your quiet time, look back down the path

all the way to the bottom of the mountain—to childhood.

Thank those who gave you birth,

and those who supported you, and encouraged you in your youth.

Thank also those who made life difficult for you

for they helped you to learn hard lessons you needed to learn.

Thank those further up the path of life who taught you and befriended you,

and those that loved you.

You are where you are today because of all of these.

 

Be grateful today,

and help someone else up the mountain path of their life.
