FALL 2008June 8, 2008
There are no grand plans before Steering Committee at this time.
Our Child Protection Policy has proved unworkable and we will have a much simpler policy for approval by Quarterly meeting at our next meeting.
Much of the committee's time has been taken up with the care of Woodbury Meeting. There is a separate report of the Committee for Caring.
Because of the continued inability of Woodbury Meeting to come to unity, the meeting is not able to function on any meaningful basis. They are not even able to select a Nominating Committee. In order to keep from exacerbating the spirit of factionalism, the Steering Committee recommends that Salem Quarter give no weight to statements presented as decisions of Woodbury Meeting until unity is restored.
