WINTER 2008Income:
For the period of July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008, our income exceeded our budgeted income by $364. Our Fiduciary accounts returned slightly more than budgeted income, and we received a $100 contribution.
Expenses:
Our expenses were less than our budget by $3,783. The Coordinator program came in $3,820 under budget. Congratulations to all who helped us achieve these impressive results.
Lower Alloways Creek (donor-restricted fund):
The LAC account expenses were less than budgeted expenses by $955. We received electric bills from Salem Meeting for $59 compared to our utilities budget of $240. We have not received any bills for repairs, or for termite treatment. On the income side, we earned $5,005 on our Fiduciary investments compared to our budgeted income of $4,000. Thus, while we budgeted for a $240 shortfall in the LAC account, we actually cleared $1,220.
Education Fund (designated fund):
Our Education Fund income was $8,971, which was $971 over budget. We distributed $8,000 in scholarship grants, and $500 was returned unused. The surplus of $1,471 is reinvested in the Education Fund account.
Monthly Meeting Contributions
The amount of support needed from monthly meetings was $3,787 less than we budgeted. According to our records, our contributions from monthly meetings were $2,797 less than were committed, which is actually an improvement from last year.
The chart below reflects contributions received through 6/31/2008. For specific questions about these amounts, Quarter treasurer Dianne Sloane will be happy to review them with the meeting treasurer. Meetings are reminded that their covenant with PYM is to be paid to Salem Quarter, not PYM directly.
