impending

cries for help
pierce the air
in chorus

we order
filet
mignon

succulent
juice drips
blood gravy

flesh divides
fat and lean
tongue moves

salivating
over lips
as teeth tear

stripping meat
from its bone
cartilage

drips down
taste buds
tingle

we love
being
carnivores!
