The rainbow is not as vibrant now,
The sun is a brush-stroke less bright.
The day has surrendered more time
To the stark darkness of the night.
Narcissa painted with joy,
And she created with love.
The palette of color is more vivid,
In Heaven up above.
And she is painting with wild abandon
The bridges we all must cross,
And Heaven’s wonderful gain,
Is our dulling loss.
