Dear Mike,
Salem Quarterly Meeting wishes to express appreciation for all the years of faithful service you gave as Assistant Treasurer and Clerk of Finance. We are also thankful for your respect for Emma Prince, to whom you could only say YES to serve!
Mike, you shared your talent and gifts to assist in bringing an orderly and efficient process in producing our budget. You served the Steering Committee in assistance to that important piece of our Quarter. There are details beyond that which we will never know. Thank you. The Quarter deeply values your contributions.
At the March 14, 2010, Salem Quarterly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends Meeting for Business, the following expressions of appreciation were shared from individuals in a time set aside for that honoring. Friends acknowledged their gratitude for the rationality that you brought to the budget process and the assistance that you provided to the Treasurer. Appreciation was expressed for the ease of understanding that you made possible. Deep appreciation was felt with regard to your dependability and your total dedication. Expressions were made regarding the “peculiar combination of Friends and money” and the calmness that you brought to the table.
Admiration was expressed for your ability to understand numbers and guide Friends through many difficult clerking experiences.
