Dear George,
Salem Quarterly Meeting wishes to express appreciation for all the years of faithful service you gave as a Trustee and to the care of quarterly properties. We know it included many hours of mowing, checking properties, connecting with community members in our property areas, overseeing cemetery requests and funds. There are details beyond that which we will never know. You hold a wealth of information about those properties. We trust that you will be available to share that information if need should arise.
At the March 14, 2010, Salem Quarterly Meeting for Business, the following expressions of appreciation were shared from individuals in a time set aside for that honoring. Friends acknowledged that you spent many more hours over more years than most realize. Use of your own equipment was a huge benefit. Appreciation was expressed for your unique passion and affection for the properties as well as your interest in the continuation of history. Your acceptance of the responsibilities of stewardship as outlined in the Queries and the leadership and initiative demonstrated will always be gratefully remembered.
