Tri-Quarter Gathering

A Miracle in the Making

Marsha Gaspar
Woodbury MM

Life is filled with miracles! In fact, life itself is a miracle! Thus, the theme of this year’s Tri-Quarter Gathering of Friends: “Miracle Weekend! Miracle Life! The Astonishing Miracle of Being!”

This year’s workshops will explore: “The Miracles of…”

  1. the Brain’s Pathways to Happiness;
  2. Inspired Aging;
  3. Creativity through Art;
  4. Precious Moments for Teens, Tweens and Kids; and
  5. the Evolution of Everything.

Scheduled for the weekend of 10/1-10/3 and held at Camp Ockanickon in Medford, N.J., the Tri-Quarter Gathering is open not only to members of Salem, Burlington, and Haddonfield (N.J.) Quarters, but to Friends and attenders throughout Philadelphia Yearly Meeting . . . and beyond.

In addition to the workshops, Friends of all ages will enjoy hay rides, square dancing, stargazing, game playing, tee-shirt dyeing, bonfire singing, challenge course climbing, canoeing and boating, solitude and community, nature, outdoor worship, and six delicious meals.

Please circle these dates on your calendar and look for the registration forms in your home mailbox (if you are a past participant) or at your monthly meeting some time in August. Or feel free to contact the registrar, Cindy Cox Crispin, at for more information on activities and accommodations (to reach Cindy, contact the Salem Quarter Coordinator). Hope you’ll be part of this “Miracle Weekend” in October!
