Fri, 26 August- Woodbury Summer Seekers' Series. Woodbury MM's Friday evening potluck-and-film gatherings conclude with the A&E/History Channel video "Power of Prayer." Fri, 9 September- Salem Quarter Worship & Ministry. The Salem Quarter Worship & Ministry Committee will gather at the home of Bob and Gloria Horvay in Mullica Hill. Sun, 11 September- Salem Quarterly Meeting. Salem Quarter holds its September session at Greenwich MM. Thom Jeavons, PYM General Secretary, has agreed to bring his presentation on the rededication of the Ramallah Friends meeting house to us. See the description of the program and directions to the Greenwich Orthodox meetinghouse, and the schedule.
Thu-Sat, 22-24 September- Friends Village opening. Friends Village at Woodstown dedicates its new facilities. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Thursday, with open house, refreshments, and tours on Friday and Saturday. Sun, 25 September- Seaville Peace Center dedication. Seaville MM dedicates its Peace Center in Friendship Hall, next to the meetinghouse. Worship begins at 10:00 am, dedication follows. For full information, call the meeting at (609)624-1165.
Sat, 11 September- Quakerism 101 at Seaville. George A. Crispin of Woodbury MM will lead three sessions of Quakerism 101 at Seaville MM on Saturday evenings, 11 and 25 June and 16 July. There will be a potluck dinner at 5:00 pm each of these evenings, followed by the class. There is no cost, but the meeting asks Friends to register by calling Diane Metz, clerk, at (609)465-5567.
Fri-Sun, 30 September–2 October- Tri-Quarter Gathering. The annual Tri-Quarter Gathering, with the theme "Together in the Light," will be held at Camp Ockanickon, Medford Lakes, N.J. It features workshops, a plenary session, square/round dancing with live band and caller, stargazing, a drumming circle, and canoeing. Fri, 14 October- Friends Village golf outing. Friends Village sponsors its annual golf outing at Town and Country. For full information, fees, and donation opportunities, call the development office at (856)769-9000.
Sundays, 16&30 October–13&27 November- Insiders' Guide to the Bible, Part 2. Following the six-session course in the spring, Tony Prete offers four more Sundays of examining the Bible from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Woodstown MM. This time, the focus will be on the New Testament. Cost for the four sessions is $20.
