Sat, 22 Feb- Multicultural celebration. The First Baptist Church of Jericho, 981 Mail Ave., Deptford, sponsors a multicultural celebration for Black History Month from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Among the speakers will be Sondra Ball and Mario Cavallini of Mickleton MM, and Michael Gibson of Woodbury MM will sing.
Sun, 23 Feb- Haddonfield Quarter program. Following lunch at Quarterly Meeting, a member of the Christian Peacemaker Team that travelled in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron last November will share his experience. The presenter is Joseph M. Fri, 7 Feb- Salem Quarter Worship & Ministry. Salem Quarterly Meeting's Worship & Ministry Committee meets at the home of Bob and Gloria Horvay, Mullica Hill, at 7:30 PM. Salem Quarter will gather at Woodstown MM at 9:00 am for program by Tommy Trantino and Priscilla Adams on Beyond Prison Walls: Friends Transi tion Support Services at 9:30 am; worship, 10:30; Friends School Fine & Performing Arts, 11:30; lunch, noon; business meeting, 1:00 pm. Sun, 16 Mar- SeavilleAtlantic City Area MM Quakerism 101. Salem Quarters Seaville MM and Haddonfield Quarters Atlantic City Area MM offer Quakerism 101, facilitated by Woods towns Jack Mahon, for six weeks. Each session will start with a bag lunch followed by Q101 at 1:30 pm. The first three will be held at ACAMM on 16, 23, and 30 March, the second three at Seaville on 6, 13, and 27 April. Sun, 16 Mar- Salem MM discussion and dessert. The last in this years series will consider Eldering, starting at 7:00 pm in the meetinghouse annex. All are welcome.
Thu, 27 Mar Sun, 30 Mar- PYM Annual Sessions. Philadelphia Yearly Meeting will hold its annual sessions at Arch Street Meeting House. Programs will be available at your monthly meeting, or call PYM at (215)241-7000.
Sat, 12 Apr- Spiritual Eldering. Salem Quarter presents a one-day workshop, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with Margery Larrabee at Mickleton MM and the Little Red School House. Cost is $25, which includes a simple lunch; restricted to Salem Quarter registrants until 15 March, then open to anyone who wants to attend. See story and registration form in this issue.
Fri, 15 Aug Sun, 17 Aug- Salem Quarter Retreat. Reserve the date for Chip Thomas leading our program on Simplicity at the Burlington Meeting House. Full childrens program. Full details and registration form will appear in the Summer Salem Quarter News.
